This pushrod V8 design optimizes low-end torque, and the variable-cam timing helps to optimize high-output power. The available 6.7L Power Stroke®  V8 Turbo Diesel features a 36,000-psi fuel-injection system, featuring injectors that can atomize fuel up to eight times per stroke to optimize combustion. It also features stronger block, cylinder heads, connector rods and bearings, plus forged-steel pistons, which means 475 hp and 1,050 lb.-ft. of torque at 1,600 rpm. It produces maximum horsepower at a lower RPM than any other engine at 2,600 rpm.* Finally, the engine features an electric-actuated variable-geometry turbocharger that improves throttle response and efficiency.

The 6.2L flex-fuel gas V8 is the standard engine in F-250 and F-350 models. It's engineered to deliver peak torque at lower rpm and generates high torque throughout the midrange of the power band. The SOHC valvetrain with roller-rocker shafts results in a stiff valvetrain with an optimized intake and exhaust port layout for better breathing. The 6.2L in the F-250 is teamed up with the TorqShift® G 6-speed transmission; in the F-350, it features the 10-speed automatic.

It lets you select the speed and distance you want to maintain from the vehicle in front of you. When traffic ahead slows down, you automatically do too, and later resume the preset speed when traffic picks back up. Getting too close to the vehicle ahead? Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support can alert you to a potential collision: A head-up display simulating red brake lights will flash on your windshield, and an audible alert will sound. If you don't react in time, the brakes will precharge and increase sensitivity, providing full responsiveness when you do brake.
SYNC® lets you use your voice to make a call, listen to music, voice control, select apps and more. This technology also helps you keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel.* An information cluster screen is also there to assist you.
